At Rachel Few – Neurodivergent Counselling & Mentoring, I offer a range of services tailored to support neurodivergent women and mothers on their journey to improved wellbeing. When Mothers feel supported, so too do their families. My approach combines counselling and mentoring, addressing the mind, body, and emotions to provide a holistic, balanced framework for change.

In my combined approach to counselling and mentoring, I provide neurodivergent women with the tools to navigate life’s complexities. From supporting executive functioning challenges to addressing emotional regulation and social challenges, I empower you with strategies that work for you.

I believe that true transformation happens when we address the whole person, mind, body, and emotions, working together in harmony. By focusing on balancing all aspects of your being, the changes we make are not only sustainable but deeply empowering.

About Me

Hi, I’m Rachel Few, and I’m a qualified social worker with a deep passion for supporting neurodivergent women and their families. As a mother myself, I understand the unique challenges that come with navigating the world as a neurodivergent person. I want to help other mothers, who may feel overwhelmed or misunderstood by offering a space where they can find both understanding and practical strategies for life’s daily challenges.

Through my work, I draw on both my professional experience and my lived experience to offer a holistic approach to counselling and mentoring. I aim to empower you, whether you’re navigating the complexities of parenting, raising neurodivergent children, or working on your own personal growth. I’m here to support mothers who are juggling the many demands of family life while also striving to care for their own mental health and well-being.

I see neurodivergence as a natural and valuable variation in how brains work—not as a disorder or something to be ‘fixed.’ My approach celebrates the many strengths of neurodivergent women, fostering self-acceptance rather than forcing people to fit into a neurotypical mould. Whether it’s deep creativity, unique problem-solving skills, or a rich inner world, I believe in supporting people to embrace their authentic selves while providing tools to navigate challenges in a way that works for them.

I truly believe that every women deserves the chance to thrive, and my goal is to help you build the skills and confidence to do just that.

Holistic Approach

I believe in a holistic approach to healing. It’s essential to address the mind, body, and nervous system to create lasting change. By integrating these aspects, I ensure that every part of your experience is supported and nurtured.

Neuroaffirming Practices

My services are grounded in neuroaffirmation, respecting the way your brain works and supporting you in a way that aligns with your natural rhythm and needs. My aim is to help you thrive, not just cope.

Empowerment and Growth

I’m here to help you build the skills and confidence necessary for personal growth. My approach encourages independence, resilience, and self-compassion so that you can live your life with greater ease and fulfilment.

Creating An Inclusive and Welcoming Space

Whether you’re local to The Sunshine Coast or prefer the convenience of online support, I offer both in-person and telehealth services. My practice is designed to be sensory-friendly and neuroaffirming, ensuring that you feel safe, comfortable, and supported during each session.

In my space, I take care to create an environment that meets your sensory needs. During our sessions, I use natural lighting, quiet areas, and calming elements to help regulate your nervous system. You can also benefit from movement breaks and fidget tools, helping you stay focused and at ease while we work together.

To make the experience work best for you, you’re welcome to:

  • Adjust the lighting (natural light, dimmed lights, or a darker space)
  • Use fidget tools or comfort items
  • Take movement breaks as needed
  • Choose a seating option that feels right for you
  • Bring a weighted blanket or noise-cancelling headphones
  • Have background noise or complete quiet, depending on your preference

My goal is to create a space where you feel regulated, comfortable, and able to engage in a way that works best for you.
